It Takes A Village 5K

Hamburg NY: Please join us on Saturday June 7, 2025 for the 2nd Annual Village of Hamburg 5K! The active and vibrant Village of Hamburg turned 150 years old last year (2024) and the inaugural race was such a huge success that we decided to make the 5K run an annual event!

Thanks to the Hamburg Central PTSA for hosting this event, all proceeds will go right back into the Hamburg Central School District. We are looking for school clubs, activites, sports, and more who could benefit from some additional funds. We want our kids to feel the support of their community and know that they are working together to make a difference.

Additionally, this will be the season ending 5k for our newly formed Bulldog Run Club participants. Official It Takes A Village 5k t-shirts will be guaranteed to everyone who registers by Saturday May 24th at 9pm. A small quantity of extra shirts will be ordered and distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Post race celebration details will be shared as they are confirmed.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Race day registration and packet pickup will take place outside of Union Pleasant Elementary School on Union St. race morning from 8:30am until 9:50am. The race starts at 10am!

EARLY PACKET PICKUP OPTION:
We are also planning to offer an early packet pickup option on Friday June 6th from 4-6pm outside of Union Pleasant Elementary.

5K Registration Fee
> 12 and under: $15/$20 after 5/27/25
> 13 and older: $35/$40 after 5/27/25

START/FINISH
5K START TIME 10AM: The race will start and end on Union Street in the Village of Hamburg. The course has been USATF certified by Jeff John from BuffaloRunners.com (VIEW COURSE MAP).

POST RACE CELEBRATION
Post race awards will take place at the tent located at Union Pleasant Elementary School.

PARKING
There is plenty of free parking throughout the Village including the municipal parking lot and Union Pleasant Elementary parking lot.

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers plus age group medals as outlined below. Custom finisher certificates showing race stats and age group rank can be downloaded and printed after the race via the RESULTS button at the top of this page.

10 and under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up.

CANCELLATION POLICY
There will be no refunds. In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, etc), we reserve the right to postpone/reschedule the event at our discretion or offer a virtual alternative if necessary.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Professional timing & finish line services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
